Steady oak
That listens in the wind
To the clash of the ocean and the gulls
Oversees the bay
Watch its hair and twisting limbs dance
To the rhythm of earth and rain
Bent to the light
It roots in sacred fashion
Looking up at moon printed clouds held in
Pearlescent pink sky
Every bird, fish, that takes a deep dive
In search of its next meal or
Place to rest
Passive witness
And breath of it all
